Stara launching products – Fire Extinguisher Fit for Grain Carts

Having in mind the safety in the field and seeking to deliver a simple solution and efficient at the same time, Stara developed the Fire Extinguisher Kit for our customers.

To Luciano Bernardi, supervisor of Stara product engineering, the main objective is to extinguish fires on the crop fields and harvesters when the fire has just started because it is possible to control it using little water. “During harvesting, especially corn, and due to the driest time of the year, the greatest fear of the customers is the fire in the harvesters and crop fields. For this reason, the fire extinguisher kit has been developed for Reboke grain carts. Thus, the customer can act and extinguish the fire as it started and not just wait for the water truck to arrive. Plenty of times, it takes a long time for it to arrive, while the fire spreads out quickly.

All the structure of the fire extinguisher kit is attached to the chassis back, right beneath the hopper. The hydraulic system is interconnected with the hydraulic system of the implement. This optional feature is available for Reboke Ninja 33000, Reboke Ninja 40000, and Reboke Inox 30000 manufactured from 2020 on, and that is equipped with an unloading tube mounted on the outer section of the hopper.

According to Luciano, this solution is easy and can make a difference for the farmer. “The Reboke grain carts are the implements which most travel along with the harvesters during harvesting. If it was possible to develop a fire extinguisher kit to be mounted on these implements, we would meet the customers’ needs.” The new optional feature comprises:

– A rotomolded polythene tank with 1250 litres of water.

– Water flow of up to 80 L/min.

– Nozzle with opening adjustment with fan options.

– Hose with one-inch diameter and 15-meter long.

– A centrifugal pump activated by a hydraulic motor.

– Hose with one-inch diameter and 15-meter long.
