The higher precise planting

To ensure a complete cover and higher precise planting, Estrela is equipped with a triple copy system consisting of the articulation of three crucial points on the implement placed on the chassis and row units. This innovative concept presented by Stara comprises the chassis articulation using pneumatic springs, a matched row unit (row unit plus the chassis), and a pressure hydraulic control in the seed row units.

The triple copy system works as follows:

– CHASSIS ARTICULATION BY PNEUMATIC SPRINGS

The planter chassis features three modules: a central and two side ones with pneumatic springs that transfer the load to the side modules. As a result, the cutting power of the planter is the same along the planter structure, and there is planting uniformity from end to end. Also, the chassis articulation reaches up to 24°, 12° upwards, and 12° downwards.

– MATCHED ROW UNIT (ROW UNIT PLUS THE CHASSIS)

In addition to the chassis articulation, Estrela also features an exclusive Stara innovation, the matched row unit (row unit plus the chassis), that allows for the individual articulation of the row units with the articulation of the module to ensure the best terrain copy. The full articulation of the matched row unit can reach up to 1.31 metres.

– HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CONTROL OF THE SEED ROW UNITS

It is controlled by the Topper controller. The pressure adjustment of the matched row unit and hydraulic pressure control of the row units ensure constant pressure in all seed row units to reduce trepidations, keep stability, and place uniform seeds on the soil.

The best operating yield

Stara is aware of the crop field needs and the operating demands of the farmers. This is why the company develops machines and technologies that enable excellent operations. And consequently, optimize processes. Due to the demand for precise planters that are easy to be transported and deliver high operating yield,  Estrela adds the best hoppers, robustness, and the most practical transport on the market.

For excellent planting, quality and efficient seed and fertiliser hoppers are needed. For this reason, Estrela features central and pressurized hoppers that ensure full sealing and precision to apply fertilizer and supply the seed hoppers. Additionally, there are minimum-level sensors for fertilizer and seeds. It is equipped with an efficient hydraulic system that requires lower oil flow from the tractor.

Besides being a comprehensive implement and having a great technology package, Estrela maintenance services are simple.  Estrela has only seven lubrication points, on the hitch and wheelset. It is recommended to lubricate these points only once before planting operations to avoid stopping the planting operation and deliver excellent operating yield.

And, when it comes to transport,  Estrela is the simplest and fastest on the market. In less than a minute, the implement is ready for transport or operations. The transport width of Estrela is 3.20 m when the chassis is 21-25 and 4.15 m when the chassis is 27-33.

The most efficient seed placement

The most comprehensive planter on the market could only deliver the best seed placement. Stara presents the new Estrela witn DPS-E, the Stara electric meter. All the innovation and technology of the DPS-E guarantee the best seed singulation to gather the easy cleaning process and maintenance service, easy access to its inner walls for disks and ejectors replacement, a singulator with seven points to eliminate double seeds, in addition to a level sight, and a test activation.

Another remarkable feature integrated into the DPS-E is the seed rate compensation on turns. The advantage is that it ensures the same population for the internal and external row unit, and the spacing are the same too, resulting in high seed placement quality, regardless of the turn angle.

As seeds, the fertilizer also requires excellent application. For this reason, Estrela has a pneumatic meter system pressurized that keeps the fertilizer application uniform along the length of the planter. Not to mention that there are two fertilizer sections (two meter units) to enable the section shutdown for operations over boundaries to prevent overlap and save the product.

In-furrow spraying factory-installed

The in-furrow application enables the seeds to be saved in addition to ensuring higher efficiency in the development of the plants from germination to leaf formation. This is a common practice that delivers positive results. Having it in mind, Stara used all its experience and expertise in spraying to develop a complete and efficient system for better in-furrow spraying application.

Estrela is the only planter on the market with an in-furrow spraying factory installed. There is no need to adapt your implement for this system installation. The central thermal layer is isolated by other two layers built in polyethylene. Therefore, the thermal efficiency of the hopper is provided during its lifespan. As a result, there is higher protection against heat and brightness, and at the same time, ensures the biological activity of the products and the cleaning process becomes easier.

The planter is also equipped with the Mixing System. It keeps the chemical solution constantly moving in the tank. The automatic adjustment of the rate is according to the speed to ensure quality and uniform spraying. Another remarkable feature is the automatic shutdown per section, a total of three sections, one per module to avoid product overlap.
