Efficient spraying gathers precision and economy. To get them both, a quality piece of equipment, technology, and the right choice of the spray nozzle are crucial. For this reason, Stara provides a comprehensive portfolio of spray nozzles that deliver better results.
The Stara spray nozzles feature fan incline technology to improve droplet penetration, maximum drift reduction, excellent manufacturing quality, precision for flow delivery, and caps with exclusive technology.
The spray nozzle produces the product droplet. Therefore, a wrong spray nozzle choice can directly affect how the product is applied as the cover level or the amount that is being wasted due to the drift. All the waste reduces the chemical control efficiency or application failures. As a consequence, impacting the crop yield.
To choose the spray nozzle properly, first, be aware of what the application target is so you can choose the correct product to be used. For example, if it is a fungicide, insecticide, or herbicide and how it works. Once you choose the right product, you know the ideal droplet size. That is, thinner or coarser. Then, it is possible to choose which technology and spray nozzle provides droplets at the required size for a certain application.
To assist the farmers with higher spraying efficiency, Stara has been holding events with its dealers to explain how important the right choice of a spray nozzle is.
Matheus Mereb Negrisoli, an agronomist engineer at Pentair Hypro in Latin America who provides lectures, explains how the events work. “Our focus has always been on showing the importance of spray nozzles, what they represent in application quality, and their impact on the control efficiency and productivity. After showing what is required to understand the application technology, choose the nozzles. Then introduce which technologies Stara provides to help farmers reach higher efficiency and quality.
The presentation is also carried out over a spraying work bench or on the sprayer to show how the technologies work.
In addition to the instructions, Matheus said that the farmers had questions about the ideal spray nozzle. “As we always mention during the courses: it is important to remember that there is not any spray nozzle that is ideal for all kinds of applications. But there are different options that perform better operations for each specific situation. The best spray nozzle is the one that delivers the required cover for the chemical product and has the highest efficiency and lower level of drift losses. For example, for fungicides and insecticides, the Stara 3D spray tips deliver excellent cover and lower drift loss than spray tips with less technology. On the other hand, for herbicides, the Stara Ultra Low Drift (SUB) and Stara Ultra Low Drift Max (SBMD) deliver maximum drift reduction with excellent product distribution.”
Bruno Henrique, the parts salesperson at Futura Máquinas, where the event has already taken place, tells that this moment focused on spraying has been crucial. “The event was quite productive. It is common for customers in the area to look for specific brands of spray nozzles. However, introducing the Stara spray nozzles has created another perspective on the application technology. As a result, the customers want our products and their advantages. We can also share useful information for the daily basis of each customer in relation to the spraying, which by the way, became more trustful in our brand.”
At Tratormax, the event was held already, and the farmers enjoyed the tips a lot. According to Ricardo Gossler, a salesperson at Tratormax, these events strengthen the relationship between the dealer and the customer. “The customers can see how it works in real life and ask questions. It makes all the difference. Additionally, the customers were asked about daily situations to help them with them. About the outcome, more than 60% of farmers have taken part so far and have bought new spray nozzles. The event was successful. Plenty of farmers participated e enjoyed sharing information.”
Stara always has the farmer’s back when it comes to technology support. The company provides cut-of-the-edge machines and pieces of equipment and the required knowledge so the farm growers can reach more positive results.
