Management
For higher yields, make sure of quality sowing. It all starts way before the soybean sowing. More specifically, the previous crop can provide corrected soil and more nutrients. A good cover crop helps you manage weeds, pests, and diseases.
And, of course, the pH of the soil is a determining factor too. For soybean plants, the pH can vary from 6 to 6.5 since it directly impacts the availability of nutrients. So, be ready to correct the soil by applying agricultural lime, for example.

Cultivar and the sowing window
Choosing the right cultivar is as crucial as the other factors for your crop higher yields. Choose adapted cultivars that meet your area and field conditions within the recommended window. It uses the weather information and the physical characteristics of the soil and crop stage.

Sowing operations
They aren’t that simple. Factors such as the operation speed directly affect the distribution distance among the seeds. Be sure you have the right equipment and soil compaction level. The operation speed varies from 4 to 7 km/h most of the time.
Soybean plants provide you with better results when the distance is 45 and 50 cm among the row units. The furrow depth and finishing quality can influence the plant root development for water adsorption and nutrients to the plants. For this reason, depths from 2 to 4 cm are the perfect ones.
