Planter Absoluta was elected machine of the year by the award Machine of the Year in two categories: Best-voted Seeder and Agricultural Machine. The announcement of the winners took place in the afternoon of May 1st, at Agrishow.

The award highlighted the products and their greatest new technological features in four categories: grain harvesters, sugarcane harvesters, seeders and sprayers. The award was created with the purpose of acknowledging the featured products in the Brazilian market between 2017 and 2018, their technologies and innovations. Worldwide known, the Machine of the Year Award comes to the country to enhance the relationship between the companies from the Brazilian market and the academic world, as well.

The technical evaluations were carried out by four professors of prestigious Brazilian universities focused in agricultural mechanization, such as Federal University of Ceará, Federal University of Mato Grosso, Federal University of Uberlândia and UNESP of Jaboticabal. The evaluations took place in March and considered 10 aspects, such as technical quality, sowing, technologies for Precision Farming and innovation.

Besides the technical award, Stara also received the award through popular vote. “This award crowns a great project of Stara, Absoluta, the most complete planter and the best machine in the market when it comes to plantability. Our greatest pride is to know that this is also recognized by our customers that attended the popular vote”, claims Gilson Trennepohl, Stara CEO.
